Using CRM to Support Resilience Post-Ebola in Sierra Leone
This an ongoing local capacity building program that started in 2015 in Waterloo Hospital, Sierra Leone as Ebola was beginning to recede. Hospital staff and local community members were severely impacted by the aftermath of a prior Civil War followed by Ebola. We trained 40 local participants in the Community Resilience Model to help them tap into their innate resilience and support their coping. The project is ongoing and continuing to show very positive results in mental health stress management and resilience and has been fully adapted by those trained who now train others.
