Addressing Student Tobacco Prevention and Intervention in Schools
The TUPE project is a wraparound tobacco prevention and intervention program delivered in elementary, secondary and high school classrooms in the Chino Valley Unified School District. Evidence-based, age aligned, curricular programs are supported by locally developed youth development approaches including advocacy, media and after-school activities. Over time these programs have been reflexive to emerging trends such as the increasing popularity of marijuana and vaping and in unison been able to keep youth tobacco involvement low.
