This project investigates human-computer interactions with a virtual health agent delivering Motivational Interviewing. This project investigates human-computer interactions with a virtual health agent to determine the acceptability, usability, feasibility, and promise of using such a technology in situations where humans expect empathic communication. Currently, eEva provides web-based motivational interviewing for alcohol abuse.
This project is in collaboration with Florida International University's Computer Science Department and is funded by the National Science Foundation.
