The Department of Counseling and Family Sciences and the School of Behavioral Health are excited to introduce our newest faculty member, Ashley Park, DMFT, MS, LMFT. She brings a passion for teaching our next generation of marital and family therapists and supporting integrative care efforts within our School. She completed the advanced standing Doctor of Marital and Family Therapy program in 2022 and is an alumna of the Marital and Family Therapy MS program—both from Loma Linda University.
Dr. Park specializes in working with complex family systems impacted by chronic illness. Most recently, she was part of a behavioral health integration initiative where she worked with cancer patients and their families in the Loma Linda University Health Cancer Center. She had the privilege of leading the behavioral health team, supporting the Center with accreditation efforts as well as participating in interdisciplinary committees to discuss complex cases by offering a psychosocial perspective. Dr. Park is truly passionate about integrative behavioral health.
Dr. Park's research interests and advanced areas of study include implementing systemic practice, program evaluation, disease process/stress in the body, psychosomatic illnesses, and training, mentoring, and supervising the next generation of marital and family therapists.
Welcome, Dr. Park! We're excited to have you join our Counseling and Family Sciences and School of Behavioral Health teams.
