As part of the School of Behavioral Health's ongoing PRACTICenter Connections series, Dr. Kelly Morton, Professor of Psychology at the School of Behavioral Health, will present "Building Integrated Behavioral Health Workforce Capacity with Primary Care and Psychology Trainees."
Though Primary Care is the foundation of the healthcare system, interprofessional team based training that is needed to provide high quality primary care is difficult to achieve. By braiding together funding, curriculum and integrated clinical training sites we have enhanced the primary care workforce in our region and beyond. The presentation will describe the grows and glows of the decades long process to enhance training across medicine and psychology to achieve enhanced patient care and outcomes.
