Population of Interest: I am motivated in working with various populations. Currently, I work with adults within substance use treatment programs.
Hobbies: One of my recent hobbies I have picked up has been building Lego sets. I enjoy doing this during my downtime with some music and a cup of coffee. Who would have thought it would be so relaxing and enjoyable? My second hobby has been jiu-jitsu, which has continuously helped me get out of my comfort zone. Also, it is nice hearing about everyone's journey in how they got into the sport, almost like therapy! 🙂
Population of Interest: Right now, the population I have been fortunate to work with is Women's Health. In this population, I have come to realize how much stress, pressure, and expectations women embody without trying not to look or feel "weak." Another population would be the LGBTQIA. With the new generations trying to break down the barriers, there is a need not to show weakness either. If I can assist in removing the negative meaning of weakness, maybe strength may finally flourish.
Hobbies: I am a runner and will be running my 3rd marathon this fall.
Population of Interest: I am working with individuals, couples, and families impacted by dual substance and psychiatric diagnoses.
Hobbies: Outdoors, hiking, walking/running, adventures, and food with friends and family—that list will grow again after graduation.
Population of Interest: Clinical social work focused on children through young adults and their caregivers. Pursuing a play therapy certification along with an emphasis on trauma, ADHD, and neurodivergence.
Hobbies: My hobbies are painting, drawing, and creative writing.
Population of Interest: I enjoy working with the children and adolescent population. I hope to work as a Social Worker and empower others to reach their goals and raise awareness about the importance of mental health.
Hobbies: As a hobby, I like to go hiking and garden.
Population of Interest: For my career path, I want to work at the macro level in helping underserved communities gain access to basic needs and mental health.
Hobbies: Caring for indoor plants, going for walks.
Population of Interest: Couples therapy.
Hobbies: Playing video games and building Lego sets.
Population of Interest: I hope to help children in hospitals cope through play, emotional support, and education. I want to create a comforting environment that empowers children and families.
